It is hard to know where to start this post so I have given myself ten minutes to write it and that way I will actually post something! I have a new computer so bear with me, I appear to have set it to Canadian so have no apostrophes alas.
I have spent this morning looking through the photographs that have been taken since we arrived in Canada back in April and there are soooo many. So those will be shared over the next few weeks, but for now I shall share some from today!
This is my first day all to myself since we arrived. The boys are at a Summer programme day together and I have some precious time to catch up on the long list of things I want/need to do.
My main objective for today was to set up my sewing machine, a lovely birthday present in May. If all went well I wanted to make a peg bag too. The good news is everything is working and I made the peg bag as well. Hooray!
Here it is doing its stuff.
I made it with some lovely fabric that I found in a thrift shop. There were lots of pieces so my sewing skills were put to the test piecing them together. I love that the fabric is faded in places already. The hanger is for trousers and has its original label, another lucky find.
I have been busy knitting and crocheting since we arrived too but I will save that for another post.

Great to read a post from you again! Nice peg bag- funny how we both got the sewing machines out on the same day! I look forward to seeing your Canadian photos. Glad you are settling well… š

Thank you. I’m not sure how many scenery pictures to share. I’ll chuck some crochet in for good measure!

Thank you, it’s good to be back! I think small projects are the way forward for me until I gain confidence. I need the practice!

Lovely to hear from you. I hope the move to Canada has been rewarding. I must now add a peg bag to my ever-growing project list! I need to keep my eyes peeled for a handsome hanger like yours. That was excellent blogging in ten minutes!

I am prone to over thinking my posts and then not writing them at all so I am going to try quicker posts until I get back into the swing of things. Not that my posts have ever shown signs of literary genius!

Please persevere…I’d love to see more of Canadian life.

Hello!! I don’t know why but the one thing that struck me here is the thought that they don’t use apostrophes in Canada! I’m sure I’ve got the wrong end of the stick though! Haha. Lovely thrifty finds too.

They must do but not with the apostrophe key on my keyboard! I’ve changed it again and now only a few keys don’t match up. Small differences that I am having to get used to. The bin man came and told me today how to position the wheelie bin otherwise he wouldn’t collect it. Ooops!

Actually I’ve done something like that before, when I’ve not meant to. It’s daft because then the icons don’t match Eh!
How nice of the bin men, they wouldn’t do that here, they’d just leave it…
